Frequently asked questions
Is the Steam stats tracker free?
During alpha, every feature is free and fully unlocked — playtime tracking, achievement stats, library analytics, and profile comparison. After alpha, there will be free and paid tiers.
What Steam data does Coilr access?
Only your public Steam profile, owned games, playtime, and achievement data. We authenticate via Steam OpenID — we never see or store your password.
How does playtime tracking work?
Each time you sync, Coilr records a snapshot of your playtime per game. Over days and weeks, these snapshots build into daily, weekly, and cumulative charts showing your gaming patterns.
Can I delete my data from Coilr?
Yes. You can permanently delete all stored data — games, playtime snapshots, achievements, and your profile — from Account Settings. Signing out also clears your session.
How often should I sync my Steam stats?
As often as you want. More frequent syncs mean more detailed playtime charts. During alpha, syncs are unlimited.
Does Coilr work with private Steam profiles?
Your game details and playtime need to be set to public on Steam for Coilr to read them. We cannot access private profile data.
