Choose up to ten from your own Steam library. Your real hours come with them, so a listing is proof rather than a claim.
Answer six questions
Region, languages, when you play, voice, session length, how you like to play. All from a list, and there is no box to type in anywhere.
Both say yes
Ask someone to team up. If they accept, you each get the other’s Steam profile link and carry on there. If they do not, nothing happens and they learn nothing about you.
How this is kept safe
There is no messaging
You cannot send anyone words on Coilr: not a bio, not a note with a request, nothing. Every detail on a listing is picked from a list. Once you both accept, you talk on Steam.
Seeing means being seen
The board only opens to people who are on it. Nobody can browse players while staying hidden themselves.
Blocking is instant and mutual
Block anyone and you vanish from each other everywhere on Coilr, with any pending request withdrawn. Reporting blocks them too.
18+, and honest about it
The board is for adults. Steam does not tell us anyone’s age, so this is your word, which is why nothing here lets anyone search for younger players, and why suspicion of a minor is its own report reason.
Your Coilr profile is never indexed by search engines or AI crawlers, and neither is anyone's listing, since this page shows games and counts only. Leaving the board removes your listing and withdraws every pending request; deleting your Coilr account erases all of it. See the privacy policy.
Common questions
How do I find people to play Steam games with?
Sign in to Coilr with Steam, pick the games from your library you want company in, and mark the times of the week you are usually up for playing. You are then matched with players whose week overlaps yours in those games, sorted by when the two of you could next actually play. Neither of you has to be online at the same moment for that to happen. When you both accept, you swap Steam profile links and add each other on Steam. Coilr matches on games you actually own and have played, so nobody has to take your word for it.
Can other people message me?
No. Coilr has no chat, no inbox and no free-text fields of any kind, not even a bio. The only thing anyone can send you is a request to team up, which carries a game and nothing else. You either accept it or you do not, and the conversation only ever happens on Steam afterwards.
Who can see that I am looking for teammates?
Only other people who are also listed. The board does not open to anyone who has not put themselves on it, so there is no way to browse players while staying hidden. You are invisible until you opt in, and leaving removes your listing and withdraws every pending request immediately.
What information about me is shared?
Your Steam display name and avatar, the games you chose to list with your hours in them, and the preset answers you picked: region, languages, voice preference and session length. Of the times you marked, other people are only ever shown the window the two of you have in common, never your whole week. Your Steam profile link is shared only after you both accept a request. Nothing else, and nothing you type, because there is nothing to type.
Is there an age requirement?
The board is for adults and you confirm you are 18 or older before joining. Steam does not expose anyone’s age through its API, so this is an attestation rather than a verification, which is exactly why nothing on Coilr lets anyone search or filter for younger players, and why suspicion of a minor is its own reporting reason.
What if someone behaves badly?
Block them and you disappear from each other everywhere on Coilr, with any pending request withdrawn. Reporting blocks them too and sends the report for review; a listing is hidden automatically once several different people report it. Because no one can write anything, the usual harassment surface simply does not exist here.
