Every answer, one command away
Type a slash and start typing a game. The replies below are the bot's real answers, with today's numbers.

Who has more players right now, who had more over the month, and both lines on one chart.
/topWhat the world is playing
The most played games right now, the biggest movers this hour, or the new releases people actually stuck with.

Valve's official calendar, with countdowns in each reader's own time zone.
/statusIs it down, or is it me?
Players right now against what is normal for this hour. Coilr can't see servers, so it says what it sees: a normal evening, or a sudden collapse.
And it’s fast to ask
- →Game names autocomplete as you type, most played first, so “cs” finds Counter-Strike 2.
- →Chart buttons redraw the same message: 24 hours, a week, a month or a year, without a new command.
- →Long ranges fold into a daily average and range, so a year reads as a trend, not a zig-zag.
- →Every reply links to the full page on Coilr for the rest.
Follow a game. Hear it first.
/alerts add, pick a game and a channel. From then on the bot posts there on its own, and only when something new happens.
On sale
The moment a followed game is discounted, with the price before and after. Once per sale, and again only if it gets deeper.
Updates
The developer's patch notes and announcements as they are posted, with how many are playing. Three posts at once arrive as one.
Records
A new all-time player peak, for games with a real audience, at most twice a day while a hit keeps climbing.
Nothing from before you followed a game is announced as news. Up to 25 games per server; setting alerts up needs the Manage Server permission.
Two ways to add it
To a server
Everyone there gets the commands, and the server can follow games with alerts. Adding it needs the Manage Server permission.
Add to a serverTo your account
The commands go with you: in any server, even one without the bot, and in DMs. No server permissions involved.

Questions
Is the Coilr bot free?
Yes, every command and every alert. There is no premium tier for the bot and nothing to sign up for.
What permissions does it need?
Send Messages and Embed Links, and only so that alerts can post in the channels you choose. It cannot read your messages, see your members or change anything on your server.
Can I use it in a server without adding it there?
Yes. Add it to your account instead of a server, and its commands work for you in any server and in DMs. Alerts need it added to the server, because they post on their own.
How fresh are the numbers?
Coilr reads Steam's player counts every ten minutes for the most played games (and less often for the long tail), and each reply says when its reading was taken, in your own time zone.
What does it store?
Nothing for the commands. For alerts it stores the server, the channel, the game, which alerts you picked and who set them up, and deletes them when you remove them. The privacy policy has the details.
Who can set up alerts?
People with the Manage Server permission, since alerts post into channels for everyone. Server admins can change that in Discord's integration settings.
Ask it something. It already knows.
Free, in any server or DM, in thirty seconds.
