Every sale and fest still to come
Store-wide sales cut prices across most of Steam. Themed fests only discount their genre, and Next Fest is demos, not discounts.

Steam sale questions
When is the next major Steam sale?
The next major Steam sale is the Steam Winter Sale, running December 17, 2026 to January 4, 2027. It starts in 63 days.
Is there a Steam sale or fest on right now?
Yes, the Steam Cooking Fest is live until October 19, 2026, with discounts on games matching its theme.
When is the Steam Autumn Sale 2026?
The Steam Autumn Sale 2026 runs October 1-8, 2026. Valve moved it from its traditional late-November slot to early October this year, so it no longer overlaps Black Friday.
When is the Steam Winter Sale 2026?
The Steam Winter Sale 2026 runs December 17, 2026 to January 4, 2027, per Valve's official schedule. It is the big end-of-year sale covering most of the Steam catalog.
Is there a Steam Black Friday sale in 2026?
No. Valve does not run a Black Friday sale on Steam, and in 2026 it moved the Autumn Sale forward to October 1-8, so there is no seasonal sale near Black Friday at all. Nothing is scheduled between the Auto-Battler RPG Fest ending November 23 and the Winter Sale starting December 17.
Is Steam Next Fest a sale?
No. Next Fest (October 19-26, 2026) is a week of free playable demos for games that have not come out yet, plus developer livestreams. Games in it are not discounted, because most of them are not on sale yet. Waiting for Next Fest to save money is the one mistake this calendar exists to prevent.
What time do Steam sales start?
Steam sales start and end at 10:00 AM Pacific Time (1 PM Eastern, 6/7 PM in the UK, 19:00 CET depending on daylight saving).
How often does Steam have sales?
Steam runs four major seasonal sales a year (Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter) plus themed fests almost every month: genre showcases like Scream Fest or Cooking Fest with discounts limited to that theme. In practice there is a discount event on Steam every few weeks.
How far ahead are Steam sale dates confirmed?
Valve publishes its calendar to developers about half a year ahead, in batches. Everything on this page is from that official schedule, which currently runs through July 8, 2027. Dates beyond that have not been announced, so this page does not guess at them — it is updated when Valve publishes the next batch.
Do games get cheaper during the seasonal sales?
Major seasonal sales discount most of the Steam catalog at once, and discounts generally match a game’s recent deep sale price rather than beating it. The best strategy is to compare a deal against its all-time low before buying. Our sales page ranks every live deal by discount depth, distance to its historic low and review score.
Between sales, prices still drop: today's deals ranked by quality, the best value games on Steam and the price tracker cover what's worth buying right now.
