Coilr infers status from Steam's official concurrent-player numbers; it has no view into the game's own servers. A sharp drop usually means an outage or a breaking update, but launchers, regional issues and store outages can all look different.

How does Coilr detect outages?
Coilr records concurrent player counts every few minutes. Coilr cannot see the game servers directly, so this is an inference from player behavior, not an official status.
