Copies sold on Steam only, estimated from each game's Steam reviews, weighted by when they were written, how big the game is and who plays it (co-op games and story games differ most). Checked against 170 games whose developers announced their sales, the median estimate was 30% off. Free-to-play games are not ranked: their “owners” are everyone who pressed Play once. Neither are adult games, software, or games Steam no longer sells on their own (Grand Theft Auto V Legacy is the biggest): without a price there is no telling a delisted paid game from a closed free one.
